handbags Rowenta RH8548U1 Cordless Bagless Functions
After reading all the reviews on this and similar products, and after seeing some of the others in person in stores, I bought the Rowenta through Amazon warehouse deals, "used, like new" (and it is) at a discounted price, which I am always delighted to score.
I have a very nice heavy duty vacuum, but postpone vacuuming, mainly because of the weight of the machine, and the clumsiness of the cord. I live in a small house with wood floors and area rugs. Dust balls and dog hair accumulate almost daily around the edges and under tables, and I am way too lazy to drag out the big guy every day. So this Rowenta is the perfect solution. These are the things I love:
1. It is light enough that I don't dread using it;
2. It is quiet;
3. Good suction and pickup;
4. Agile and slim for getting around and under things (great triangle head);
5. Bagless (I would never buy a bagged vacuum again);
6. Quality look and feel;
7. Long runtime per charge;
8. Self-supporting (always a plus), with no ugly wall bracket required while charging;
9. Almost fun to use.
It's a little on the expensive side, but there are others in this price range and some even higher. I am very happy with my choice of the Rowenta, and would highly recommend it to you.
I have used other stick vacs. But none compare to this one. No cord, the battery lasts a long time and the suction on this vac is the best I've seen. The design makes it easy to drive and it looks good in the room too. Finally a stick vac that won't frustrate and actually pick up the mess.
BalasHapusHaving worked for a long time in the entertainment industry (an arcade), I have used a lot of vacuums, cordless and with cords. Usually the cordless ones, tend to be subpar, I have used various brands, dirt devil, eureka, hoover, etc, and none of them have picked up things extremely well (I mean as good as a regular vacuum or close to it, but smaller and without a cord).
BalasHapusWhen I got this one, I didn't have extremely high hopes, but it gets old using a big vacuum every time you want to vacuum a small area, so I got this one with some anticipation. I love the fact that this has such a long battery life when charged, most of the cordless vacuums I have used before this had maybe, at best, a 10 minute battery life of continuous use, and if they had an extra battery you could put in, 20 minutes, which is obnoxious when you are vacuuming a 1000 square foot game room, not quite as annoying at home, but even then, they just weren't powerful enough on top of it, and didn't work well on tiles linoleum...
After fully charging this one for 18hrs (as directed), I have never once had an issue with it. In fact, it does two things much better than any other vacuum I have used before; it cleans extremely well on linoleum and tile, as well picking up hair and strings or things of that nature (on or off carpet) amazingly well! Just from one vacuuming around the house, I often pick up the same amount of hair in one time, that it would take 5 or so vacuumings with my corded one. This is important to me as I have long hair and shed a lot... As well as I cook everything from scratch so the kitchen gets very very messy, and now it is more effective to use this cordless vacuum on my linoleum then sweep (except with larger chunks, but I have a hard time with getting up the more powdery stuff anyway sweeping!) and that impressed me so much, I can't tell you how happy this made me, to not have to scrub the floors every time I use flour!!! Ahhhhhh! Yes! As for the carpet, it does very well on that too, almost as good as my corded vacuum, and the vacuum is easy to assemble and disassemble and is larger then some cordless vacuums, but I'll take a slightly larger one if it works better then other smaller ones, and it does!
I would definitely say this vacuum is very much worth the money, and I would invest the money to get this vacuum if you are looking for a very high quality cordless vacuum.
God Bless ~Amy
I saw Rowenta stick vacuum at Williams-Sonoma catalog so I decided to get this nice looking vacuum. It's a beautiful product that can put next to our furniture -- I don't have to put the vacuum in our closet. This product works great, it's very light -- particularly easy to clean under the bed. This is the first cordless vacuum cleaner I've purchased and it's just as powerful as the one with code. In fact, cordless vacuuming is faster. Highly recommended!
BalasHapusThe Rowenta vacuum is wonderful for small areas. This item does great on hardwood floors, area rugs, and small carpeted areas. It is great for small messes that need to be gotten up quickly without having to drag out the heavy vacuum. However, this vacuum does not do so great on large carpeted areas such as living rooms. To me it didn't pick up like a full size vacuum on large area floors.This item has the angled head so it gets into corners very nicely which I love. I also love that it is small and so is the charging base so it stays in the corner out of the way until ready for use. It is a small stick vacuum so for me it serves its purpose and I give it a 5 star review. If you are looking to use this to replace your old vacuum I would suggest something bigger than the Rowenta cordless stick vac. If you are looking for a vacuum for quick messes and hardwood floors then look no further than this great stick vac.
BalasHapusI received this as a Christmas present and would normally be less than thrilled getting a vacuum as a gift, but this has made my life so much easier - and cleaner!!! My 20 month old tends to carry crumbs everywhere!!! Taking out a full size vacuum to clean up her little messes is a chore in itself. I grab my Rowenta stick vac and it makes me smile as it picks up all of her little crumbs. i was concerned at first sight that it wouldn't be able to pick up everything as I had experienced that with other hand helds and stick vacs, but I was proven wrong! It really is a must have!!!
BalasHapusPurchased my Rowenta stick vac a month ago. Very hesitant at first because of the price but really fell for the design and features. It's been a month now and I can't live without it anymore! The swivel head is amazing, makes vacuuming easier and less of a chore. The suction is beyond what I could have hoped for and makes my apartment look nice and clean. Thank you for this great product!
BalasHapusWe've had the Rowenta stick for a few weeks and are very pleased with it so far. As other reviews claim, the suction power is impressive for it's size. The triangular base is also very useful in getting into corners. I thought I'd point out a few more things I didn't see in other reviews. For starters, this vac has rotating brushes on the bottom and they work well. But they don't cover the whole base because of it's shape. And the brushes, and the vac as a whole, aren't quite as heavy duty as on standard full size vacuums. However, somehow this cleaner seems to pick up our dirt and crumbs as well or better than our full size vac, and we have a new and high quality full size vac. In my view the best feature of this vac is the sheer maneuverability. It exceeded our expectations. We wanted it to handle crumbs on our wood floors without having to lug our big vac up/down stairs daily. But, as it turns out cordless totally rules for flying around around the house without having to plug and unplug and jump rope constantly. It's also way lighter than the full size vac so lifting it to do things like stairs is much easier too. The kicker is that the neck and base of this cleaner can tilt to an almost flat position. And combined with the thin design of the base, it allows you to get under couches, chairs, beds, molding and other crevices without moving furniture and other things around. For that reason alone I'll be using this cleaner in place of our full size most of the time. Emptying the dirt from the container is also much easier on this one than our full size. For people with smaller homes without a lot of thick carpet - like us - I would recommend buying this cleaner in place of a full size. The one concern I do have is with the durability of the rechargeable battery. Time will tell. It's working well so far, but it seems to take an awful long time between uses to get back to fully charged. Like 12+ hours after just 10 mins of use. Not really a strike against with all else considered, but worth noting.
BalasHapusi got this to clean up after two big dogs on wood floors. The vacuum head is small so it isn't great for big spaces but for the area around the back door and pet beds it is great and has plenty of power. This vacuum and Haan steam mop are getting a daily work out and are exactly what was needed.
