buy kitchen faucets Hoover FloorMate SpinScrub Vacuum FH40010B
After moving to our new home two years ago I was overwhelmed by the amount of hard surface flooring in our home! We have a 2000 SQ foot home and 3/4 of it is either tile or linoleum flooring . I love the fact that we have so much hard surface flooring but I was going crazy trying to keep it clean! I had tried the swifter both wet and dry, the Steam mop, hands and knees and the old fashion mop. All of these items just seem too wet the dirt and push it around the floor. I purchased one of these and the I cleaned the floor with the Steam Mop and then the Hoover FloorMate I was completely shocked! I had just cleaned the entire hard floor surface as instructed buy the Steam mop instructions and I had BLACK WATER! I have a very clean home my friends often say you can eat off of my floors well let me say they really can after I made the switch to the FloorMate!!!!! I was so shocked I started going over to friends homes and asking them to try the cleaner after they had cleaned their floors with what ever they normally do and every time I used it the water was black!!!! I even went back over mine a second time and the water was almost clear just a little foggy from the soap I think. I can't say enough about this machine it is very easy to use and it does take a time or two to get used to a pattern of which your comfortable moving it about your floors. The soap has a nice smell and does a great job but if you put to much in the floor will feel sticky. I also recommend to others that they should always clean up animal, baby spills etc.... before using this machine so that it doesn't take on the smell by getting stuck in the brushes. I also recommend when you clean the dirty water compartment you should wash it with soap and then let it dry all the way or it will smell when you open it back up. I wash my filter by hand and let it dry once a week and I purchase a new one every three months just to keep it working its best. You can also remove the bottom brushes very easily to clean them if ever need be.

Although I had a bit of trouble getting this machine as the first one sent was defective, the replacement arrived quickly. I have travertine tile (very textured) floors throughout my kitchen and family room and NOTHING has ever gotten them clean of the Georgia red clay where I live! I have tried everything from a steam-mop machine to hands-and-knees scrubbing. This machine WORKS! The only other time I've seen them this clean was after paying for commercial cleaning which was quite expensive. I'm glad I decided to go with a replacement after getting one that didn't work the first time. I definitely recommend! A white paper towel wiped across the floor stays white...amazing.
BalasHapusI read many reviews before purchasing this, and I made the purchase with a certain amount of apprehension because of the negative reviews. Our home has stone-texture tiles, and the grout when we moved in was completely black from lack of cleaning. I didn't have much hope for this thing deep cleaning grout that had not been properly maintained, as it is a multi-purpose appliance and not one designed for a single application. I was surprised to see the tile lighten, even if slightly, from my first use of this appliance. I decided to then put some elbow grease into the tile, rather than using the Floormate to remove years of grime. While the Floormate was unable to get ride of the heavy soil in the grout, it took everything off of the tile floor without an issue. The Floormate has also maintained the grout since it was hand-cleaned, and seems to have no issues with removing grime from moderately deep grout.
BalasHapusI think the issue with this product is consumer misconception. People have come to expect professional grade results from consumer grade products after having been misled by other product that make such claims. You are spending less than $200 for a multi-purpose appliance, not several hundred dollars for a single-purpose, professional-grade appliance. The Floormate is not exceptional at any one thing, but then it wasn't designed to be. It is, however, an exceptional multi-purpose platform. If you are expecting to have sparkling floors after having neglected them for years, then you're out of luck. If you're looking for a product that will both effectively and efficiently maintain your hard-floors, then this appliance is for you. The vacuum works on even moderately sized debris. The scrubbers will remove heavy grime from tile surfaces with the proper usage of the appliance, and will maintain the cleanliness and appearance of properly treated grout. The dryer will not leave your floors bone dry, but it will remove the vast majority of liquid if used correctly, even on floors with deep grout like mine. This appliance does what is says it will do, but you must understand that you are not purchasing a professional-grade appliance with the Floormate, and so you shouldn't expect professional-grade results.
I used this for the first time yesterday and am totally in love with it! We have "textured/contoured" tile (which means grout) and some concrete floors and this cleaned them both beautifully. I can't truly review on the grout cleaning as we have coffee colored grout around our lighter colored tile so it never shows the dirt, but this machine did manage to get it clean, but our grout is not that deep.
BalasHapusI also can't review on the vacuum part because I have a Dyson and I love the way it picks up all the fur our pets leave all over the place.
I can say that this machine really scrubs the floor and it scrubs well. We live in the country and along with 5 cats, 2 ferrets and 2 dogs and 2 kids there is constantly some sort of mud being tracked in or spill to clean up.
I prefer natural cleaners like Simple Green or Sol-U-Mel and I like that you can determine what cleaner-to-water ratio you want to use. I also like that you can control how much cleaner you are dispensing. The drying mode on this really works as well and that helps all the way around...nothing's worse than waiting for the floor to dry! Thinking about another one for the upstairs!

BalasHapusMy husband got me this for Christmas (per my request) and it is nothing short of amazing. I cleaned our a portion of our hardwood kitchen floor to try it out and was amazed (and sort of disgusted) by the water that ended up in the dirty water tank. My floors get cleaned once a week by my cleaning people (who may no longer be needed) and they always LOOKED clean, but clearly they are not. After testing on that portion of the floor I continued and finished the kitchen, did 4 bathrooms, the laundry room, and our basement bar. I couldn't ber happier! For less than the price of one cleaning visit I have cleaned all of my floors in less than an hour and know they are all clean now! Thanks Hoover!
BalasHapusI am not a good house cleaner. I apparently am not a good tile picker, either. I picked white tile. Not a good choice if you don't like to get down and scrub the floors a lot. In the 8 years we have moved here, our floors have gotten worse and worse and I hate cleaning them. Drag out the buckets, get the mop, and the head is usually falling off. Get wet, dirty and no matter how careful I am, the water coming out of the mop is dirty.
BalasHapusI would do the following: Mop the floor in sections, then spray the floor with clorox clean up, then use my swiffer wet jet with the pad to get the clorox cleanup off. Let's just say it took a LONG time and by then my mops and stuff are all over the kitchen and the floor takes an hour to dry.
A friend of mine told me about the Hoover Floormate and although money is tight, we are showing our home to a prospective buyer in two days and I wanted the cleanest floors I could get and I KNEW that my kids would track mud in 15 times in those two days and I wanted to not need to hurt anyone out of frustration. If I have to do this five times between now and Thursday, I feel good about it, I can do this.
The machine assembled well. I had purchased 3 large bottles of the cleaning solution, but it also came with the machine. The machine has two wells, one for clean and one for dirty water. How smart!
Wow. Wow. Wow. This thing Rocks!
Well, the vacuum part didn't work on cat food, so I broom swept the floor and then went to work with the washing.
All I can say is that I have never seen my floors this clean in my life. I feel like I could do this a couple times a week without a problem. Oh my goodness, I might end up with one of those homes where people feel inclined to take off their shoes. As it has been, usually I would only get out the mop when my floor started developing topography. I mean, when you could really feel the stuck on chunks.
I love it. I would have paid twice the price for this. Thanks Hoover!!
first let me say that i have a fanatical need for my 1000sqft of tile floor to be clean. Daily. Call me a freak, OCD, whatever, but the fact is that i clean my floors every day. I also have three kids, so that plays into it.
BalasHapusSecond let me add that i have wasted money on every single other product out there.
The Bissell flip it (huge waste of money, broke after a couple months anyway)
Swiffer Wet Jet (a total joke)
H20 steam mop
Shark Steam mop
now i still use my shark when i want a quick clean or when i need to be quiet (kids are sleeping etc), but it doesnt clean as well as the spin scrub, it has the short cord etc.
For all the products on the market, the spin scrub gets the job done the best. i would not say it is "perfect" - but if you are looking for something "perfect" you will be continuously disappointed. Yes, it could be quieter (although then the engine might be weaker); it could suck up more water on the wash mode (but i suggest using the squeegee only mode if you need that); yes it could weigh less (although i suspect it would come at the price of cheaper construction).
Overall i am VERY happy with it and would recommend it to anyone. i also really like the cleaning solution it comes with.
UPDATE 2Y later: Product is still working great. If your suction / squeegee function starts to wane, that is the sign of needing a new filter. I am still very happy with this product. Every now and then i use a shark mop (the new one) for a quick, quiet clean. But it absolutely doesnt compare to the power of this machine. I still highly recommend.
