printed pencil skirt review Riccar Brilliance Simplicity Synchrony EnviroCare

Riccar Brilliance Simplicity Synchrony EnviroCare

I bought this filter for a Windtunnel Self-Propelled vacuum. In the 5-10 years I've had the vacuum, I've never done anything except occasionally clean (the original) filter and empty the bucket. The lack of maintenace and care showed, to the point where the vacuum no longer did anything but spit dirt. I was ready to throw it away. The motor seemed fine though, and I did remember a time when it was a really nice vacuum....

Before throwing it out, I decided to take it apart (needed a screw driver for this), thoroughly clean it and get it a new filter. This paid off in spades. I cleaned out a lot of dirt (which was basically blocking the intakes), got all the junk off the brushes and replaced the original filter with this one (which fits perfectly). Upon firing it up again, it worked like brand new, to include the wind tunnel "tornado", which I haven't seen in years. A little maintenance plus a new filter goes a long way......

Excellent Vacuum for the price

jessica simpson shoes buy Hoover WindTunnel Tseries Upright UH30302

Hoover WindTunnel Tseries Upright UH30302

To start, I'm a big fan of bagged vacuums. Bagless sounds good in theory but I have yet to have much luck with them as they always tend to vacuum/clean much worse than their bagged counterparts. Additionally, you can't often clean the filters and must replace them after a year if you want to maintain them.

The Hoover WindTunnel TSeries was surprisingly VERY light compared to other vacuums (19.8lbs) I'm used to. It was easy to maneuver around the carpet picking up dog hair with ease (2 German Shepherds at our particular house). Additionally, the bag compartment is easy to get to and is an easy swap in/out with a new bag. I have not yet researched if the bags are expensive, but if they are in line with normal bag price then this is a great vacuum for a good price.

I will edit this review if there are any problems in the future.

Life changing product!

tablet review iRobot Roomba Vacuum Cleaning Allergies

iRobot Roomba Vacuum Cleaning Allergies

I had thought about buying this product because essentially, I'm lazy. I have a dog that although is supposed to be "medium-shed" he seems to drop a lot of his long, thick black hair.

I have already destroyed a weak vacuum by keeping his hair off the carpet, I bought a very expensive vacuum and it works great, but if It's hard for me to justify vacuuming more than once a week or so, and by then you can already see the difference from his hair shedding, at this point I pretty much get lazy and just put it off.

To keep the floors clean I literally need to vacuum daily, and the amount of time this takes is not worth it, something like this Roomba is a hugely valuable investment for me because of the time it saves me from vacuuming daily.

I first vacuumed my entire carpet with my nice vacuum because I knew I would overload this poor guy trying to pick it up.

Despite having thoroughly vacuumed with this guy and his bin was filling very rapidly. It does seem a bit sporadic in it's methods but I really don't mind, in fact I'm happy to see it cover a single spot multiple times because I know it gets a little more and a little deeper with every pass, when I first got it I ran it about 3 times each day to sort of play catch up, and now when it runs it only fills the bin about 1/3rd of the way and my floors look immaculate.

There are reviews of it getting stuck or lost, and really I haven't had any issue with it getting stuck at all. It runs over the speaker cables that run under my couch and I can see it starting to tug, but then it senses it and releases the cables and continues on it's way. I have an end table that is between my tv stand and some speakers and it's just barely wide enough for Roomba to fit in, and it's humerous watching it go in a few small circles to find the small way out again, but it does find it every time. I also have some video equipment set up in my office and a lot of tripods in close proxomity to each other, and it manages to get through the legs of all these tripods, even ones that over lap. It does struggle a bit with them, but has always made it out alive.

It's amazing to watch this thing meticulously circle every little item I've left on the floor to maximize it's cleaning area.

If you order this I would make a couple of recommendations, one of which is to make sure you can monitor it the first week or so it runs even if you are like me and have a nice vacuum you spent a fortune on, this little guy will find things you missed and it will take quite some time to actually catch up, the first few days you will get annoyed by how fast it's bin fills, but you will find over time it fills slower and slower and after a half dozen runs it'll be able to do a full run or two without filling the bin. This also will let you find out any potential areas that it may get stuck, or will get stuck. For example in my bathrooom under the cabinet there is an opening and it can get under there and clean fine, but there is one spot where It must be slightly lower because it hits that spot and tries to wiggle free but gets stuck, so you will need to watch for these things otherwise it'll get stuck and sit there and you'll come home disappointed to see it never made it back to it's dock.

My other recommendation would be to buy replacement brushes and squeegee thing (forgot the name) right off the back (you can buy a full set for about $20)- for me with my dog I always get him chew toys and some of the length of his hair and the cotton stuffing wrapped itself around the wheels so tight it has caused possibly some permanent damage to them, but have gotten wrapped so tight it really wasn't worth the effort of me fighting it. They recommend cleaning these things every 3 uses and replacing them every two months but I ran this thing so hard the first week trying to play catch up that they warranted replacing, so you may want to consider just putting that concern aside and just planning to replace them after your first week from the get go so there aren't any surprises, though really I expect the replacement ones to last quite some time as I really did put it to the test right out the gate.

And lastly do plan to schedule it to run daily - if you let it go daily then there won't be much built up and your machine won't have to work as hard making it more effective and making the maintenance a lot less strenuous in that it is able to get just the daily amount of stuff the brushes and everything will stay cleaner longer and you will get a lot more out of it by letting it run daily. As the manufacturer suggests, it definitely works a lot better when used daily, and really since it takes no effort other then checking the bin very couple of days there's no reason not to schedule it this frequently.

I couldn't be happier with the purchase, at the price it felt like a risk but honestly even just after 1 week of my carpets looking like they do, and looking back at that it took 0 time and effort from me, the thing has already been more then worth the money. I will buy this sucker again and again and again, even if it only lasts me three months it's worth the money. I've actually never written a review about a product on here, but really I felt inspired to because I have never gotten the amount of value out of this purchase in anything that I can remember in recent history. If I could change anything it would be that I would have bought this sooner.

bike review Dyson DC24 All Floors Upright Cleaner

Dyson DC24 All Floors Upright Cleaner

I have been a little skeptical of the Dyson machines. I haven't doubted whether they worked as great as they say, but they are a little on the pricey side, initially. However, there is nothing more to buy unless you want additional attachments. The filters in this machine are washable, and do not need to be replaced. There aren't any bags to replace. The ball makes it easy to manipulate and handle, and is extremely lightweight. The handle that folds down for storage is also the telescoping wand to be used with attachments. There is a handle on the front of the clear bin in order to carry, making it easy to move around the room cleaning your fan blades, or geting the inevitable spider webs that grow in the corner of the rooms. When using the telescoping wand, there is an impressive amount of suction. It's cleaning power is wonderful to be such a small machine. It's shocking to see what comes out of your carpets. Most manufacturers will only carry a 1 year parts and labor warranty on their machines. Dyson has a 5 year warranty on their vacuums. I love this machine.

mills review Shark Navigator Professional Lift Away Cleaner

Shark Navigator Professional Lift Away Cleaner

I just bought this today, so I haven't used it long, but I'm already looking all over my house for where else I can vacuum...I love it that much! I was surprised at how easy it was to put together and I was vacuuming within about 10 minutes of opening the box. I love how versatile it is, since you can swap the bottom for the hard floor/dusting attachment or lift off the canister to carry it around for hard to reach places. I was able to reach some high places with the crevice attachment and clean my cold air return which has been extremely dusty for so long, but I could never reach it with my old vacuum. With this, I just pulled off the canister, stood on a chair and cleaned it really well with the crevice tool. It picked up all that ugly dust buildup so quickly. The suction really is amazing. I cannot believe how much dirt and dust I pulled up from my carpets! I didn't think they were that dirty, but the canister was about halfway full when I finished vacuuming 2 rooms! And it's a pretty good sized canister. I like that it's lightweight, too. It's definitely lighter than my old vacuum and it's very maneuverable. The swivel head reaches easily in smaller areas and I vacuum along the wall and it gets all the dirt in the corner so I don't have to go back with the crevice tool. This is definitely the vacuum to get if you want something that you'll love using for a long time. I definitely found a keeper!

It gave me the WOW factor VS my current vacuum cleaner!

camera buy Hoover WindTunnel Upright Vacuum UH72450

Hoover WindTunnel Upright Vacuum UH72450

I have to start off by saying that I am directly comparing this to my current vacuum, the LG Kompressor. I have had it for 3.5 years, have gone thru 3 belts and one new roller..that thing is a beast! I bought that specific vac because I had 3 inside dogs and lots of shedding (it compacts the dirt compartment). Since I lost two of my dogs I have been wanting to downsize to something lighter and more maneuverable...and this Hoover fits that bill. First, it is super easy to put together, just snap on a few pieces and you are ready to go, no screwdriver required. It seemed a little flimsy compared to my monster LG, but it did an excellent job of picking up hair and dirt. There were actually times that it seems to suck into the carpet, this didn't make it hard to roll, you could just really see it working. I have plush wall-to-wall carpet and I know others seemed to have trouble with rugs, but I didn't have this trouble...even while vacuuming the throw rugs I have laying around on the hard flooring . I did have empty the canister half way thru the whole-house vacuum, but it is shedding season for my Border Collie and I can live with that. One thing I did love that it seems to self-adjust to flooring height on its one. This is very handy when going from carpet to hard flooring (and turning off the roller). I had to always adjust the carpet height before and that was a bit of a pain. One thing I didn't like so much was that you actually have to rotate the switch from flooring to the hose accessory. My LG did this automatically, but it truly isn't that huge of a deal. I will list the pro's and con's below as compared with my current machine.

Pro's:

Self adjusting flooring height
Turn brush roller on and off
Very light, very easy to turn
The vac head area is small and will fit under furniture nicely
You can really get the machine low to get under coffee tables without the head popping off the floor
Very long cord
No touch waste container empty
Nice edge-suction for vacuuming up against walls
The 2 in 1 tool is super nice and stays as one piece so you aren't losing parts
Reusable/Cleanable filter
Easy to put together
Fairly quiet

Con's:
Wish it had an auto-rewind cord rather than the standard loop-around holder
Have to hand switch it to hand tools
Brush seems a little small, I will have to clean the hair out each time I vacuum
It comes with an extra rotating hand tool brush but there is no place on the vac for it

So in conclusion, this vac will be a good substitute for my aging LG. I do love that it is the Hoover brand and I am assuming the belts will be available locally rather than having to order online.

Shark over Dyson any day

mills review Shark Navigator Upright Bagless NV22L

Shark Navigator Upright Bagless NV22L

This vacuum far exceeds my expectations. We have 3 cats and the amount of hair that this picked up that our old vacuum couldn't (and the industrial one we borrowed when ours died) was amazing.

The pet tool is great! it got hair off of a chair with valor type fabric that I've never been able to completely remove the hair from.

It also does a great job of vacuuming the tile floors.

The 24" crevice tool is great for getting ceiling corners and behind furniture that used to be hard to reach.

The canister is so easy to empty. Usually with bags I would have to take them outside to empty because of my husbands allergies but this filters so well and keeps everything together that even he can empty it without a sneezing fit.

I'm very impressed with this vacuum.

I am editing this on July 30, 2010 to add that we've been using this for 10 months and it is still working great. The filters clean up very easily and are not even near needing replacements.

Comparison of this Hoover WindTunnel to my Dirt Devil

buy silver heels Hoover WindTunnel Upright Vacuum UH70801

Hoover WindTunnel Upright Vacuum UH70801

The Hoover WindTunnel 2 Upright Vacuum, UH70801 isn't perfect, but it's a great vacuum for the money. Out of the box, assembly took less than 2 minutes and was self explanatory. The only tool needed was a Phillips Screwdriver to install the handle. Everything else snaps into place. The button release filter cup is easy to attach and empty. Adjusting the height is as easy as turning a dial. An Accessory Pack, including turbo tool, crevice tool, extension wand, and dusting brush is included. Once assembled, it was easy to test the performance since I have 2 cats who leave fur everywhere. The power cord is only 25' long, which is a little short in my opinion. Once turned on, the vacuum's motor is about average in noise level, but the 12 Amp motor does make a whistling noise that is a little annoying. Performance was excellent though, even at this price point. I immediately noticed the dirt cup filling up with cat hair. The vacuum weighs about 16lbs, which is fairly lightweight, probably due to the fact the vacuum is made almost entirely of plastic. It is easy to move around furniture, etc. Switching from the floor beater to the accessory hose is very quick and easy. The included accessories work well. The extension hose seems very short. The specifications say it's 8', but it seems about half that. Perhaps it needs to get stretched out. All in all, the Hoover WindTunnel 2 Upright Vacuum, UH70801 is a great vacuum for the price. It works great, has good features, and doesn't cost a whole lot. I can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a budget vacuum.

Pros:
Low cost.
Great performance.
Dual Cyclonic Air System with HEPA filtration.
High capacity, easy to empty dirt cup.
Accessory pack included.
Not too heavy.

Cons:
All plastic, so-so build quality.(expected at this price point though)
Hose length says 8' but seems much shorter.
Power cord is only 25'
No headlight.

Hoover SH40060 MultiCyclonic Canister

After reading many reviews on about 5 websites for at least 10 vacuums I settled on the Hoover canister vac. Let me tell you the stuff people said in all the other reviews is spot on. It has great suction and really picks up the dirt and pet hair. I had to empty the chamber about 5 times on my first cleaning of the house. The filters are easy to access so you can wash them. The powered head does a great job picking up everything all the way to the baseboard. My carpet hasn't felt this clean and fluffy on my bare feet in years; my old upright was just doing a poor job. Everyone has mentioned the short cord as a small con but for my sized house i had no problem with the reach, given the length of the cord plus the vacuum itself and the reach of the hose it has good reach. I would recommend this to anyone needing a good vacuum for their home
