Perfect Bang for the buck vaccuum

BISSELL CleanView with OnePass 9595

As a mom with 3 kids and 2 dogs my house is definitely one that gives a vacuum a run for it's money. I had my hesitations about the Bissell CleanView being able to do what it says and actually get most of the dirt and food spills on one pass. I am happy to say I was wrong to be hesitant. My carpet was completely clean and the canister full after one pass. For me, it did what it said it would do.

Another plus to this vacuum is ease of assembly. With just two screws and everything else snapping into place this was easily assembled by me, and I usually have a hard time assembling things, so that says a lot.

The two things I would change about this is it does put off a good amount of heat, so I did get a little hot when vacuuming. Second I would prefer the power button to be near the top or near my foot like other vacuums, while not unbearable I would prefer not to have to lean down and turn it on/off

Regardless of the two cons I definitely am happy with this vacuum, it does what it needs to do and is pretty lightweight. For the price it's not a bad purchase idea.

I have received a BISSELL CleanView Vacuum to facilitate my review.

  1. I have an Oreck for which I paid almost $350.....I also have a shedding 80 pound English Bulldog. I had vacuumed the rugs/carpet and they still had a fine layer of dog hair over them which I could remove with a dog brush....that is a lot if work. I scanned the products available and came across this one for $80. I vacuumed the kitchen rugs with the Oreck and immediately did a follow up with the Bissell....I filled the Bissell cup ! The Oreck ( and the expensive bags )
is out. This is it for me and I could buy three more and still pay less than the Oreck.

  2. First, let me say that opening up the box and assembling the vacuum was simply a dream of simplicity. The fact that there was so little to actually assemble was a real treat. Upon plugging in and turning on the unit, I heard a big difference in the volume of the vacuum being much quieter that my previous unit. Then I started using it. I had already vacuumed the floor with my old vacuum the same day. A few hours later I got the new vacuum in the mail and used it. I was so surprised that the new Bissell 9595 was able to get out as much dirt again as my previous vacuum had that same day. I could not believe that the old vacuum had left so much dirt behind!

What a great all around multi-surface floor care product!

  3. I have three kids and most of our house is carpeted. That means that I usually need to run the vacuum every day. I have been using a vacuum with the bags for the past few years and it's hard to tell when the bags are full. Sometimes I just really don't feel like I get the best cleaning experience with my current machine. But earlier this week I was given the opportunity to try out the brand new Bissell CleanView Vacuum with OnePass Technology.

When I vacuum, I want to be able to see instant results so I can move on to something much more enjoyable. I would much rather use an extra 10 minutes in my morning working on my latest craft or creation instead of just running the vacuum over the very same area. This Bissel CleanView Vacuum gave me that extra 10 minutes.

It is lightweight with a cord that is long enough to reach from my living room down the hall to the boys room.

Noise level: This vacuum cleaner is not nearly as loud as my traditional one with the bag.

My only complaint with this vacuum so far is that the extension tube that fits on the hose and the plastic fitting that lets your wrap the cord keep falling off the back of the machine. I will probably just store the plastic extension in the closet until I need it.

I think we're pretty clean people. But we do have a dog and kids. With just one pass over the living room, I wanted to see what the filter looked like. The filter is removable so you can easily clean it off after it has started to get clogged. The dust and debris that I vacuumed after just one sweep over the living room floor was pretty educational.

Once you have finished vacuuming your room, you might be shocked as I was to see how much dust and debris was accumulated. I know you can probably just leave it in the canister for a while until it fills up; but I am one of those people who like to see visible results. My kids and I were amazed at how much dust and `stuff' was picked up after just one run over the living room.

You simply pop out the canister, hold it over a trash can and push the little button to release the bottom. No mess.My sons were thrilled with this feature. Now when I accidentally vacuum up a Lego, it won't be lost forever. We can just open the canister and rescue the Lego piece before disposing of the rest.

I am loving the Bissell CleanView Vacuum. I don't even mind running the vacuum over the floor tomorrow - especially since it won't take more than about 10 minutes!

  4. I had no idea how much dust was hiding from my hoover vacuum until I unboxed this Bissell machine and put it to the test, we had just vacuumed about 2 hours before receiving the Bissell CleanView so we were not expecting it to pick up much since our carpet still had the vacuum stripes formed. After vacuuming, I was impressed at how much dust it had picked up! Dust that my hoover seemed to ignore, wow! It didn't take long after the first day of use for the dirt compartment to be full, all of that dust we were breathing, it's scary to think about it.

Overall this is such a great product, it's built great and it feels very durable, I am surprised to see the price tag under $100 I highly recommend it!

  5. I just came from using the Dyson animal and Shark navigator and this vacuum is in the same league at a much lower price. The Bissell is light weight and the suction is about 80% of the Dyson. The Bissell sucks up much better on our wood floor and all the attachments fit on the vacuum.

Overall much better purchase than the Shark or Dyson vacuums

  6. Can't say anything negative about it. It delivers great suction power. The reason why I got it was the price was right, the great reviews (although I hadn't noticed they were part of a participation program so it may have been bias, just sayin).

I like the cleanview where the debris collects, discarding debris is also easy with just removing the cleanview container and pushing the button to disconnect lid, also you must take a look at the yellow filter above the container to remove surface debris on it for better suction/filtering and filter maintenance, the HEPA filter is below the cleanview container and is virtually clean and doesn't require cleaning, at least for a long time).

The fact that it has a HEPA filter and motor filter was also why I got it, it isn't too noisy, and it's light weight to maneuver. Dyson was my first choice but the price is quite high so I ended up with this and satisfied with this vacuum.

  7. Wife and I were in the market for a new vacuum. Two dogs who shed like crazy and replacing vacuum bags every month got costly.

    A few notes:
-significantly heavier than our last vacuum
-cord is shorter than previous hoover, causing annoyance
-picks up pet hair in a single pass provided you have the height setting correct
-very easy cleanup as bin is sealed until you press a button to empty
-don't like where the switch is located (left side halfway down)
-cannister needs to be emptied when it gets over half full or suction declines

The true test was when my wife took the vacuum to her mother's house after telling her how much she liked it. Mother in law ran the dyson animal version on her carpets. Wife followed her with this. Still picked up a almost as much as dyson after dyson cleaner had just passed over the same areas. A true testament to the quality of this product.
